Surprisingly perhaps, it was not until 1971 that this breed arrived in Britain. They were, however , an immediate success and demand grew rapidly. By 1986 it had replacedthe Hereford as Britain's top beef animal, and to this day, with more pure and crossbred calves registered than any other breed, the Limousin retains its dominance. |
